A Look Inside Our Process
At Trilogy Architecture & Design our work spans a vast array of project types—hotels & resort, medical & wellness facilities, schools & summer camps, civic spaces, faith-based buildings, multi-family & luxury residential, and even environmental projects like parks and community spaces. Our solutions-first specialization is rooted in sustainable and human-centric design.
Our History
Since 1990, Trilogy Design and Architecture has been shaping places where people live, learn, gather, and grow. We’re proud to be an award-winning Northern California firm, but what sets us apart is our approach, not just our portfolio. Sustainability means more than certifications—it’s about designing legacy structures that last, evolve, and remain meaningful over time, that respond to both client goals and the communities they serve.
Our collaborative, studio-based process means clients work directly with a team that shares knowledge across design, engineering, and cost management. We’re able to deliver projects that don’t just meet today’s needs, but enrich communities for generations.
LEED Certified: Architect’s/Designer’s at Trilogy Architecture are USGBC certified to design green and sustainably
Deep Expertise: 35 years in business and thousands of completed projects
Technology Focused: at every phase, to reduce costs and improve efficiency from design to build
Our Formula
-
The formula for our studio is simple – a collaborative environment. Everyone here – from our principal architect down to designer – has learned that being a good listener is the most important attribute of a good architect. We benefit from seasoned experience of our senior team members and the fresh perspective from the latest insights in academia from our emerging architect and designer talent.
Our Process
-
Relationship building and trust are guiding principles within our firm. We feel it’s important that clients have a clear understanding of our decision making at every phase of a project. By empowering our clients with our own knowledge for the duration of the project we build trust through transparency, enabling clients to feel that they are valued as true collaborators. The trust we build with our partners and clients is equally as important as the final construction.
Our Pillars

Our Specialties
-
A Trilogy known specialty is the creative transformation of old, derelict, abandoned or outdated architecture for an explicit use, e.g. specifically, the renovation of institutional buildings to create new cultural spaces, the adaptation of transport infrastructure to create new parks that add value to the community.
-
Building information modeling (BIM) is a process supported by various tools, technologies and contracts involving the generation and management of digital representations of physical and functional characteristics of places. Trilogy integrates the extensive and innovative use of BIM technology in all of our projects.
-
Projects that respond in some way to contemporary challenges to the environment, including resilient design for areas prone to forest fires and other disasters. Utilizing materials and innovative design practices we continue to expand our offerings that account for the continually changing environmental landscape.
-
We play a key role of collaboration throughout the design and building process, considering political, social and cultural stakeholders that surround a project.
-
We use our skills and passions to address crises in collaboration with communities and bring vital hope to those in need.
-
Through the environment we design solutions that facilitate the learning process.

Reviews
-
“As the director of a small non-profit agency, my experience with architecture is minimal. But having a 98 year building with all kinds of peculiarities, years of strange attempts at renovation, and predecessors who utilized chewing gum, baling wire, and probably a lot of duct tape, has meant a lot of learning and experiences that no job description could have defined. Trilogy, a Redding company, stepped up and in, to help us. Their curiosity, creativity and high regard for the history and personality of the downtown area is huge. Their vision has helped us move towards accessibility, while preserving the uniqueness of the space. And Trilogy’s commitment to the non-profit businesses is amazing! We appreciate you and all of Trilogy’s team!” – Marjeanne Stone and the Board of Directors
-
“The entire Trilogy team, are a godsend. Not only are they an incredibly talented and qualified team of architects but their patience, support, professionalism, and passion or the project is what truly differentiates them. I’ve already worked with Trilogy on three projects for our summer camp and look forward to continuing our relationship for many years to come!” — Jeremy Joszef, Camp Morasha
-
“The kids LOVE it. The space itself is beautiful with the colors, floors, furniture and how everything is laid out to maximize collaboration. There is just the right amount of laptops and desktops to accommodate a large class of students with many on school devices and some on their own.” – Rabbi Tzvi Pittinsky, Director of Educational Technology for The Frisch School
-
“Trilogy created a learning space unique & perfect for RSA. They listened to our dreams & needs; taking words & turning them into a school where over 500 students in grades kinder through eight gather to learn every day. Thanks team for this great school facility.” — Margaret Rude, Redding School of the Arts Principal
-
“Our original school building, still in full operation, is our brownstone church circa 1857. It now serves as our dining hall and part of our upper-school. Trilogy has done an excellent job with us on that part of the building doing 3D modeling and mapping of the structure, ADA analysis, and various plans on future uses of the building. I would highly recommend Trilogy.” – Michael Mannino, Rumson Country Day School Director of Finance
-
“Trilogy Architecture designed a major expansion of our community health center a few years ago, and we are currently working with them on a concept for an ambitious new project as well. In each case, Trilogy has consistently provided us with services that are both professional and inspired, paying close attention to aspects of design that we and our board care about most: green building, aesthetics, functionality, and staying within our budget. They come through with what they promise and are a pleasure to work with. I have also seen the excellent work that Trilogy has performed for a private home owner; they are able to work at all scales with brilliant results. I can’t recommend them highly enough.” — Richard B Hardie III, Senior Financial Advisor Hill Country Health and Wellness Center
